  Iknew one elder who was taken off the outgoing list. He hada slightly unpleasant voice. It hurt his feelings. Be it noted he was kind, hospitable, came through when things were tough, just not a polished stuffed shirt. He was easierto listen to when you knew his qualities. But appearances are t h e driving force.

  Territory back to door to door

  how is the territory done in your congregation now we are back to door to door?.

  there has been now directions from the top.

  Big mystery. Seems to be both a slap to legitimate shutins and a dearth of regular neighborhoods. Add a paucity of print stuff.

  Gaelic? I love the accent. As for Indians, I have never met one who didnt speak better English than americans, not sure how that us across t h e pond

  Dumb 'experiences' you were told as a JW

  this one stands out in my mind.

  it was reported that 'a brother', unnamed of course, was out in field service and was set upon by a pack of vicious dogs.

  he made it back to the car and was injured quite badly with his arms, hands and leg bleeding heavily.

  The hobo whofound a tract along the tracks and came in. Or got hit in t h e head by a truth book. Part 2 is a priest taking a truth book away from a dub and throwing it.

  There are lots of generic stories about obedient children following directions. These are identical when told by baptists, Presbyterians, Catholics, jews, muslims, athiests. Absolutely made up.

  And the dear dad and mom thank you for: the witness stuff, joining military, college. I think these letters may be true because we grow a brain around age 25.

  Yes, we do have skills. But no way am I going to become a factory drone whilst some fatass sails around in the boat I built on the reservoir behind the dam my brother built.

  Meeting attendance

  i was wondering what your guys' meeting attendance was like.

  our meetings here is like 50/50 with zoom and in person.

  the spanish has it a little "better" with it being like 30% zoom attendance with most attending in person.. i've heard of congregations in other states having attendance where most (even elders and ms) attend meeting only via zoom and even have their cameras off.

  Since the reminder, 40% zoom, guessing. No way c to know actual hall numbers. Still only about 5 on camera. They are requiring masks contrary to directions, which doesn't help. Boring meetings, pushy elders, can't see to drive at night dont help their cause.

  Door work is going right back to the seperate groups which didn't work well 3 years ago. No word on masks yet

  Starting September 01, 2022, the Angels will help in the ministry work

  2022 governing body update # 6. what exciting news david splane has for all jehovah's witnesses ( who for the last three years were spared the house-to-house preaching work ) '' that we'll return to the ministry september 01, 2022. just in time for our world wide campaign to start bible studies.

  and, i'm sure the angels are excited too, because it will give them opportunities to help us with our ministry.''.

  not only will the witnesses be rusty in their return to the field ministry, the angels in heaven have been sitting idle while the pandemic stopped the house-to-house ministry.

  If I preach Aug 31 will I get struck by lightning? Apparently(tm) angels use the Gregorian calendar and t h e International date line.
